Warehouse Assistant
A small but growing Tewkesbury based organisation has a new permanent vacancy for a Warehouse Assistant to join the team. This interesting and varied role with include stock control, goods in/ out, wrapping items both on site and off site so some travel to clients sites will be required, liaising with internal departments and external suppliers and warehouse associated paperwork.
The ideal candidate will be physically fit, hard working, enjoy working in a busy team and be keen to learn new skills. Previous warehouse experience would be useful but not essential as full training will be given.
The company invest in their staff and with full order books and new customers in the pipeline this is a fantastic time to join them. Future prospects could include team leader or management of staff.
Responsible for:
- Maintaining a clean & tidy warehouse
- Ensuring H&S procedures are followed at all times
- Receiving & unloading goods inwards – checking and signing delivery notes. Entering stock into stock spreadsheet
- Preparing orders for despatch, pulling orders, packing product ready for despatch /collection and ensuring correct labelling
- Keeping a careful record on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly
- Before commencement of daily work, check stacker trucks
- Maintaining maintenance records for stacker trucks
- Cutting/preparing material for on-site shrink wrapping
- Cutting/preparing material for inhouse manufacture
- Weld bags for customer orders
- Customer on site work as required
Starting/training salary £20k. Any overnight stays include expenses paid and additional overnight allowance.
