Bookkeeper/Office Manager 

We are working with an established Tewkesbury company who operate and manage various construction & engineering projects throughout the UK.   Due to business growth, they have a requirement for an experienced bookkeeper who can also manager and organise the office, as well as assist with the move to new office premises in January.  This is a key role that will require excellent organisation, administration and communication skills as you will be liaising with project engineers and sub-contractors’ bases throughout the UK.

The role:

  • Production of management accounts, including maintaining sales and purchase ledgers and bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • P&L reports & monthly business forecasting
  • Year-end accounts preparation.
  • Production of financial reports and budgeting
  • Recording information, working to deadlines & maintaining H&S / industry compliance

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar small Team environment (all round support skills)
  • Ability to assess, review & set up new, robust office systems
  • AAT qualified to at least Level 3, or the equivalent by experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent worker
  • Confident IT user with experience of Sage Accounts

As a valued member of the Team you will be working with the MD, hands on Operations Managers, Commercial Consultants and trade engineers and involved with all aspects of the business, contributing to the smooth running and organisation of this expanding business.

Monday to Friday; Salary £30K - £33K 

Full time preferred, but open to consider candidates looking for just 30hours per week.
