Bookkeeper and Office Support Administrator
We are recruiting for an experienced accounts professional to support the company financial operations and ensure the smooth day to day running of the office in Tewkesbury. Our client manages projects within the construction industry, and this is a key role within the team as you will be providing critical support to the management team and contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the business. Main duties & responsibilities include:
· Ensuring efficient flow of financial and administrative information across the business
· Supporting finance operations: manage sales & purchase ledgers; monitor credit control & costs; assist with bi-weekly payment runs & cashflow tracking
· Liaise with accountant to support preparation of VAT returns, Management accounts, year-end filings
· Maintain accurate stock and asset registers
· Assist in onboarding suppliers and subcontractors
· Log outgoing tenders and client purchase orders to support billing accuracy
· Act as the primary liaison with external IT support services
· Manage employee records and employment documentation (staff expenses, annual leave, sickness tracking)
· Provide general administrative support and ensure accurate record keeping
· Support adherence to company policies and operational procedures
· Identify opportunities to streamline and improve systems and processes
· Prepare regular and ad hoc reports for internal stakeholders

· Experience in a similar finance/business support role
· Strong admin and IT skills; excellent experience of MSOffice; in particular Excel and Xero Accounting systems

· Ability to build trust and positive relationships
· Committed to high standards of customer services and operational delivery
· Experience in the construction industry preferred
· AAT or similar professional qualifications
Hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday; 8.30am - 3pm Friday
Remuneration depending on experience £28K - £32K
