Warehouse & Production Assistant

We are working with an established Tewkesbury company who are market leaders in the design and manufacture of engineered products for the protection and finishing industries.  They currently have an opening with the Warehouse Team for a Warehouse & Production Assistant.  This is an important role that involves looking after key customers and will require excellent attention to detail and a positive approach to the working environment so previous experience within a warehouse and / or production environment is required.

Job Specification:

·         Picking & packing orders

·         Ensure stock rotation is being complied with

·         Dispatching of goods using or bespoke system

·         Liaising with other departments such as customer services

·         Working periodically in the kitting department

·         Organising courier collections and following up on issues and tracking enquiries

·         Carrying out perpetual stock taking as needed by the Warehouse Manager

·         Operation of tape and log slitting machines

·         Labelling and organising of stock

·         Receiving & booking in stock deliveries

·         Feeding back potential issues & improvements to the Warehouse Manager

·         Compliance with company’s Health and Safety Policy, including but not limited to safe working procedure, signage and safety equipment

·         Perform ad hoc duties when necessary and Keep warehouse areas clean and tidy.

Job Requirements:

·         1 year + warehouse environment experience

·         FLT license desirable but not essential

·         Reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team

·         Have a good level of computer literacy and be familiar with the Microsoft Office suite especially Outlook, Word

·         Adaptable - may be required to help in other areas of the warehouse

·         It is essential that applicants can enter very complex, long, similar stock identity number accurately to match products and prevent costly mistakes.

An immediate start available.  Full training in warehouse machinery will be provided.

Salary: c£28K; Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
