Event & Business Executive

We are working with a professional company based near Ledbury who have a fantastic opportunity to join their busy, friendly team who run events for both corporate and private customers.  

The whole team work towards ensuring that guests attending the events have a truly memorable and positive experience and therefore exceptionally high standards of customer care and the ability to liaise with people at all levels is essential.

Key Responsibilities

This is a varied and busy role that is measured by the positive feedback from clients/supplier relationships and the smooth running of events and budget controls; therefore, we are looking for the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • First point of contact for group and event enquiries, creating proposals in line with pricing policy and operating standards
  • Organising the design and production of Event literature in line with House of Brand Strategy
  • Co-ordinating group and event resource, taking ownership of delivery from start to finish
  • Assisting in the promotion of the venue portfolio, building relationships with local hotels and suppliers to offer value and choice to clients
  • Liaising with stakeholders; ensuring insurance, legal, H&S consideration are adhered to and risk assessment are provided for all event activities
  • Maintaining the accuracy of diary and event bookings, amendment and cancellations
  • Planning rotas and diary with event instructors
  • Reconciling budgets and tracking revenue along with monthly finance/metric reporting
  • Set up and breakdown of all event requirements and hosting during the live event
  • Management and planning all events, including special launches, product and engineering training

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Background in hospitality/customer facing roles
  • Ability to work alongside functional teams and assist others as a local fact holder
  • Enthusiasm, drive, commitment and the confidence to achieve goals with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organisation, planning skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Account managing and financial reporting skills
  • Be product literate, numerate with an excellent grasp of Microsoft Office applications, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Full clean driving licence essential

Working Pattern alternates from Monday to Friday one week, followed by Tuesday to Saturday the next on a rolling weekly rota basis (8am – 5pm)
