Electrical Qualified Supervisor

Permanent, Nr Tewkesbury. Salary £35/45K doe

 

The Role:
Our well established client has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team in an Electrical Qualified Supervisor (QS) role. As an Electrical QS, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the safety, technical standards, and quality of electrical work carried out by the team of electricians. The role involves both office and site work, with the flexibility to manage your own diary while delivering on your role responsibilities.
Prior experience in a QS role is beneficial but not required if you have good knowledge of electrical testing and inspection.

 

Duties will include:

  • Providing technical support to colleagues when required.
  • Staying up to date with industry regulations and standards.
  • Offering training resources to electricians, adult trainees, and electrical apprentices while maintaining professional development records.
  • Inspecting work in progress and completed work, ensuring compliance and driving quality standards.
  • Ensuring testing equipment is maintained with up-to-date service records and accurate logs.
  • Reviewing, assessing, and signing off electrical certifications in accordance with industry standards.
  • Managing and maintaining records of all electrical certifications and documentation.
  • Participating in the yearly inspection as part of the QS team.

  • Proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
  • Strong time management skills with an organized approach to tasks and deadlines.
  • Effective communicator, able to give clear and concise instructions in person, over the phone, and via email.
  • Good computer literacy with the ability to sign off electrical certifications.
  • Reliable, with a commitment to upholding responsibilities and professionalism.
  • Adaptable, able to work across different environments on ongoing and upcoming projects.

 

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • 18th Edition
  • NVQ Level 3
  • AM2 Qualification
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing
  • NICEIC accredited or have been within the last 24 months (desired)
  • Full UK Driving License
  • DBS Check

If you meet some of the criteria but not all, we may be able to provide support for you to undertake the necessary training to achieve the required qualifications.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm (40 hours plus overtime if required).
